Graphics Week 2
So this is a long time overdue! I kinda got out of the habit of updating my blog but I'm getting back into it now. The second week of the graphics brief was Illustration. I found this a lot harder than typography, and was not overly happy with the results. We displayed all our work in an A3 folder and hung our two final pieces on the wall for assessment.
I printed out some pictures of Euro notes and cut them into letters. This ended up being too illustration based though. I then looked at the lottery ads and lotto balls and came up with the bottom text.
I researched the most valuable coin in the world and found out that it was this 1933 Gold Double Eagle. It sold in America for 7.5 million in 2002. I decided to play around with the image of this coin and place it as the dot for the I's or in the place of the letter O.

This was just for fun really, everytime I told people my saying was Rolling in Dough, they said they thought of Adele's song 'Rolling in the Deep'. I decided to do a skit on this and came up with the idea of putting Adele's face in a 100 dollar note. I realised the target audience for this was quite specific as my tutors didn't get it!
